Date: Sunday, August 10th, 2025
Location: Pan Trinbago's Headquarters 55 Dundonald Street, Port of Spain
As part of the official observances for Steelpan Month 2025, Steelpan on a High Note of Praise and Worship will begin with the church service and Blessing of the Flag — a sacred tradition symbolizing unity, gratitude, and national pride in the continued journey of the steelpan in Trinidad and Tobago’s national musical instrument.
Following the solemn and uplifting service, the atmosphere shifted into a powerful worship session where music became ministry, and the Steelpan was elevated as a vessel of praise.
The evening featured anointed vocalists Blessed Messenger and Ancil Valley, who opened with songs of exaltation that set the spiritual tone for the worship experience.
Anointed Steelpan soloists then took the stage to minister through inspirational selections:
-
Keon Baptist offered heartfelt renditions of My Help, Omemma (Chandler Moore), and Psalm 34 (The Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir), blending gospel power with steelpan brilliance.
-
Natasha Joseph followed with stirring interpretations of Come Jesus Come (CeCe Winans), You Raise Me Up, I Speak Jesus (Holly Halliwell), and King of Glory (Todd Dulaney), touching every heart in the sanctuary.
-
Kersh Ramsey ministered through a soul-shaking lineup that included Break Every Chain, Holy Forever, Oceans, and The Prayer (Donnie McClurkin & Yolanda Adams), ushering in a wave of surrender and divine awe.
-
Obadele Allick brought deep spiritual reflection through Breathe (Dunsin Oyekan), Do It Again (Elevation Worship), and You Waited (Travis Greene).
-
Emmanuel Joseph concluded with a triumphant set of Victory Belongs to Jesus, Find My Peace (Naomi Raine), and Good God Oh (Limoblaze & Ada Ehi), affirming faith, joy, and the glory of God.
This moving evening of reverence and celebration showcased the steelpan’s divine potential not only as a cultural emblem but as an instrument of worship that continues to echo across generations and nations.
